Working with Oahu photographer Bruce Foley to create the new book Discover Oahu: A Pictorial Guide to a Tropical Island Paradise was an enjoyable experience for me as a writer.

I also learned a great deal about island history and was especially intrigued with the history of Honolulu's Chinatown.  Did you know that Honolulu's Chinatown is reported to be the oldest in the United States?  Yes, it dates back 138 years when the name “Chinatown” was first used around 1870. Oahu is truly a unique destination. This travel guide is a MUST HAVE for anyone planning to visit Oahu.
